I’m sharing this again. I initially choose it as a melodically interesting piece but the harmony is also very engaging and interesting.

This is a neuro-funk track that perfectly captures the theme of “a gap in the storm.” The storytelling throughout the piece is incredibly rich, and it builds a stage of raging winds and heavy rain using nothing but melody. I think a few key elements make the melody stand out:

At 1:51, right after the abrupt stop, the heavy, overwhelming drums and the suffocating electronic effects don’t let up, but on top of all that, a bright, colorful saxophone suddenly emerges, singing smoothly. I find this moment incredibly powerful and striking; it completely shifts the narrative, almost as if it’s giving the listener a surge of motivation and courage to push through a storm-like life.
